I was honoured to be asked to photograph the wedding of fellow American wedding photographer Julee and her groom Matt. The wedding took place at St Margaret’s church at Topsham near Exeter and was followed by a reception at Lewtrenchard Manor near Okehampton.
Beth & Pete got married at the stunning location of Dartmouth Castle with the ceremony being held at St Petrox church which commands the most fabulous views over the mouth of the River Dart. The reception was held back in Exeter at the Royal Clarence Hotel.
What a glorious day – the sun shone all day for a change! Bonnie & Gareth were married at Churston Ferrers Church, Brixham followed by a reception at Langdon Court Hotel near Plymouth.
This was one of our biggest weddings of the year with over 170 guests! It was made even more interesting because nearly half of the guests were French. The French guests arrived by coaches for the wedding of Jane & Gilles at Tavistock Methodist Church in what can only be described as a very entertaining and enjoyable ceremony.
We managed a short stop on Dartmoor for a few photographs before heading off to the reception which was held at Boringdon Hall near Plymouth.
Lynsey & Adrian got married at he fabulous Halswell House which is near Taunton in Somerset. Once again the weather was a bit iffy, but we managed to get outside between the showers and capture some nice moments.
Fiona & Steve came all the way from Middlesex for their wedding in St Ives at the Tregenna Castle Hotel which overlooks St Ives bay. Sadly the weather was not kind and we spent the entire day indoors sheltering from the rain.
Fortunately, Fiona & Steve made the most of the day with their friends and family and we managed to get some nice pictures without venturing outside. Here are a few from the day.
Charlotte & Michael’s wedding took place at St Michael’s church in the Charlotte’s home village of Spreyton in Devon with a reception after at The Tom Cobley. Here are a few pictures from their day.
OK! So I’ve been pretty lame just lately with updates to the blog, so I decided to sit up and post until I am up to date, or I fall asleep!
As you might have guessed it’s been pretty busy here as we are right in the middle of the wedding season, with at least one wedding per week. We have already reached our target for this years weddings and will only be taking on one or two more weddings this year, and we have already sold over half of next years dates with Saturdays left in August, 1 in July!
Anyway, must go and post some images from recent weddings!
I had the very great pleasure of photographing the wedding of Candida and Kevin at Ugbrooke Park this weekend. It was a family wedding hosted by Lord and Lady Clifford at their magnificent ancestral home near Exeter. Candida and Kevin enjoyed the company of close family and friends from around the world. The ceremony itself took place in the beautiful Saint Cyprian’s Chapel at Ugbrooke Park, followed by the reception which was held in a marquee at the front of the house overlooking the lake. Anyway here are a few pictures from the day…
Our third wedding this weekend saw the marriage of Gill and Alex. Their wedding took place at Ottery St Mary church followed by the reception at Combe House Hotel, Gittisham. This was our second wedding at Combe House in two days!
Despite the stormy weather in the morning Gill & Alex just took it in their stride and got on with enjoying their wedding – it was clear to me that marrying each other was way more important than the weather! Fortunately, the wind dropped and the rain stopped for most of the afternoon, allowing them to enjoy some of their day outside.
